Robert Half has a position available for a Payroll Specialist to join the dynamic team at one of our clients. In this position, you will be required to support the Payroll department through a number of duties including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. This fast-paced and quickly expanding position will require the candidate to communicate effectively with both internal team members and outside customers. This Payroll Specialist opportunity is based in the Newport Beach, California area and is a long-term contract role.Your responsibilities- Process multi-state bi-weekly payroll - Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc- Collect and enter data into spreadsheets and the payroll system- Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals- Cut manual checks - Administer and distribute reports as instructed
